Admission to Roorkee Institute of Technology

Candidates have two application options for this college: online and offline. Details for the same are provided below:

Offline Admission

Eligibility

10+2 examination with 45% overall marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and a passing score in the JEE Mains or the RIT entrance exam.

Uniform is compulsory for all the Students and it is provided free of charge to every new student at the time of joining the institute. The Uniform includes two shirts, two trousers, one neck tie, one blazer, one half sleeves Sweater, one track suit and one college bag.
Transport facility is available from Hardwar and Roorkee depending upon the availability of the students and route of the bus.

Placements at Roorkee Institute of Technology

The institute has a separate unit for training and employment. The cell can help students find jobs on campus, off campus, or at a joint campus. In technical courses, almost all of the students are hired even before the course is finished. The team, which includes faculty members, student coordinators, and T&P officers, works with businesses to help students get ready for the workforce. For the benefit of the students, the institute offers a variety of seminars, industrial tours, presentations, guest lectures, personality development programs, etc. The cell also arranges for the students to participate in simulated interviews. Roorkee Institute of Technology Scholarships

A range of scholarships is available to students at RIT Roorkee. Financial aid that does not need to be repaid includes scholarships.

RIT Scholarships: It provides students from a range of schools with a selection of scholarships. They are made to assist students in covering costs and pursuing further education. Only a small number of seats are available for all the scholarships.

Sports Scholarship: Students who have earned a sports certificate at any of the four levels are eligible for sports scholarships from the institute. State, District, School, and National State Scholarships: The states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand provide students with a range of scholarships based on their merit and financial need.

Minority Welfare Scholarships: Students from notified minority groups, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis (Zoroastrians), who are studying in India exclusively and who meet the requirements of the Scheme are eligible to apply.

Facilities at the Roorkee Institute of Technology

Auditorium: The Institute has a centrally located, air-conditioned, and technologically advanced auditorium. The auditorium is a versatile music theatre with excellent acoustics and a cozy, homey atmosphere. It is the ideal location for both academic and non-academic activities, such as lectures, conferences, and videos, as well as theatrical, dance, and musical performances. The Auditorium has 400 seats and is equipped with lights and a wide variety of audiovisual tools.
A cafeteria is available at the institute and is open for 15 hours each day. It offers a wide range of food options, such as North Indian, South Indian, Continental, Chinese, and Italian, as well as a large selection of drinks.
Library: To meet the needs of the instructors, students, and staff, the Institute offers an updated resource. It is well-stocked with 33,000 high-quality book collections covering a variety of fields, including M.Tech, MBA, and B.Tech, among others. More than 100 worldwide and national publications and magazines in the domains of technology, management, etc. are subscribed to by it. 2500 reference volumes and subscriptions to 16 top newspapers are also available at the library. There is also an e-journal facility at the library.
Students regularly engage in physical activity in college gym classes. Children who do not participate in physical activities outside of school are especially in need of it for their physical well-being. Activities that elevate the heart rate, pulse rate, and metabolism will be included in a solid physical education lesson. The American Heart Association claims that kids can learn skills in gym lessons that will help them stay active for the rest of their life. Children will find that after a physical education lesson, they can think more clearly and can concentrate better on other subjects, which indicates that physical activity benefits the mind as well.
Healthcare Center: A licensed and highly skilled MBBS doctor provides first aid and basic medical services at the dormitory. In an emergency, a student is transported to the closest hospital or doctor in a vehicle that is always on hand on campus, and the student’s local guardian is notified right away.
